An automation estimate consists of equipment, design, installation, control systems, integration and commissioning. The payback period is set by the net annual effect.

Warehouse equipment attachments are chosen by load weight, dimensions and the method of pickup, and tyres by floor surface and the route of the truck.

Aisle width is set by the working corridor of a specific truck with a pallet of fixed size. Turning radius shows the manoeuvrability of the truck but not the full path of the load.

A location code is built on a hierarchy: zone, aisle, bay, level, position. This structure gives every storage location a unique code read the same way by staff, scanner and WMS.

To control loading, check three values: the permitted weight per level, the maximum bay load and the actual weight of the goods.

Before signing a contract for warehouse equipment, check five groups of terms: warranty period, scheduled maintenance, service deadlines, spare parts supply and payment for labour.
